Newark City of Destiny

The Newark City of Destiny conference is a marketplace ministry initiative and symposium. It is the vision of and presented by the Caring Network Volunteer Services, in honor of late author and professor Dr. Lloyd A. Turner. He is the author of the book Newark City of Destiny, published in 2016, in recognition of the 350th anniversary of Newark’s founding to promote the spiritual legacy, altruistic heritage and the divine destiny and purpose of the City of Newark, NJ.

The Symposium’s goal is to recognize what makes Newark a model and a great American City or as the founders stated, “a city on a hill”. The Symposium is designed to support residents, faith and civic leaders of the Greater Newark area in affirming Newark’s course.
